Fixing the real problem, not just the drip
A roof leak in the Keys is rarely random — there’s usually a salt, sun, or storm cause behind it. We find that cause. Whether it’s a corroded fastener, a failed flashing, wind-lifted panels, or a penetration that’s let go, we track the water back to its real source and fix it properly. Chasing drips with sealant might buy a few weeks; finding and fixing the source buys you peace of mind through the next storm.
The repairs Keys homes need most
- Leaks — at flashings, valleys, penetrations, and seams, often worse after wind-driven rain.
- Salt corrosion — rust and pitting on panels and components, especially near the open water.
- Fastener failure — screws and clips that have backed out, sheared, or corroded loose.
- Storm damage — lifted, dented, or torn panels and flashing after high winds.
- Flashing and penetration failures — around vents, pipes, skylights, and walls where most leaks actually start.
Why salt and fasteners matter so much here
In a true marine environment, the fasteners and small components are often the first things to give. Exposed-fastener systems are especially prone to it — washers degrade, screws corrode, and tiny gaps open up that let water in. We inspect those failure points specifically, and where corrosion is widespread we’ll tell you honestly whether targeted repairs make sense or whether the roof is signaling it’s time to replace.
Post-storm repair
After a hurricane or a hard blow, even a strong metal roof can take damage — a lifted edge, a torn flashing, a dented panel that’s compromised the coating. We get out, assess it, and make repairs that restore the roof’s integrity. We document what we find clearly, which helps if you’re filing an insurance claim. (For full storm and insurance guidance, see our storm damage page.)
Emergency calls
When a storm opens up your roof and water is getting in, that can’t wait. We take emergency repair calls and prioritize getting your home dried-in and protected so a bad day doesn’t turn into a ruined interior. (After-hours availability: client to confirm.)
Straight answers, repair or replace
Sometimes a repair is exactly right and we’ll make it. Sometimes the honest answer is that the roof is past saving and a repair would just be throwing money at a losing roof — and we’ll tell you that too. Either way you get a clear assessment, not a sales pitch.
